Stained Glass Project

Description:

For this project we learned about Frank Lloyd Wright and his famous stained glass pieces. We started with a blank piece of paper and split it into 4 different sections and we practiced some different techniques and pieces. After that we picked out our favorite one from the four we drew and used a different piece of white paper and drew it full size on the paper. Next, we put our clear sheet of paper over our full size piece we wanted to create and traced it with a black sharpie. After tracing it with black we got to choose 3 different colored sharpies and got to color in our stained glass piece, bringing it more to life. 

Extension Activity: 

An extension activity I would do is integrating Language Arts with Art. I would have students create a short poem or story about anything of their choosing. After they write their poem or story I would have students make a stained glass piece representing their story.
